The project REALIZE “Renewable Energy Actions Leveraging Innovation towards Zero emissions in Europe” aims at bringing a strategic selection of new, high-impact proposals each featuring an innovative renewable energy technology to the EU Innovation Fund (IF) which result from successfully completed Horizon projects in Renewable Energy Sources (RES), each having a sufficient technological, financial and operational maturity level. This will be achieved by accompanying the IF project promoters towards a successful application to the Innovation Fund Programme or proposing alternative funding opportunities at national level.

REALIZE mobilizes a comprehensive selection of new, currently not fully commercialized renewable energy technologies in advanced photovoltaics (PV), concentrating solar (CSP), Solar Heating & Cooling, Offshore Wind, Ocean (Tidal) energy, and Advanced Biofuels for sea and air transport. The project promoters (PP’s), which are full members of the CSA consortium, will be supported in their effort to win major Innovation Fund support by a multidisciplinary team with strong expertise on the Innovation Fund application process as well as on other European and national funding schemes related to RES projects, allowing them to maximise the potential to present innovative RES projects for public grants and/or equity investment. The projects cover implementation of technologies as well as manufacturing of critical components in Europe by European industry, and will address small-scale as well as medium/large-scale IF calls.
